Hello, Internets! Sean and Peter are Free! The charges have been dropped in an agreement involving community service. ---- We are Sean Stevens and Peter Berdovsky, from Boston. On January 31st, we were involved in a bit of confusion in Boston involving LED Mooninites... Due to the pending court case and negotiations, we were unable to talk about the situation. We couldn't talk, but we both watched our own events unfold on Slashdot, boingboing, Livejournal...Wikipedia and many other internet sites... At the same time, Newspaper, TV and Radio asked us for interviews that we were unable to give. It's been a long, difficult and frustrating process...With bits of amazing inspiration thrown in. But now, finally, the charges are dropped! The first, and most important thing we'd like to say is... THANK YOU! Your support was (and is!) invaluable and has meant a lot to both of us. We're still trying to catch up with our lives, as it's been an insanely busy few months. Things aren't slowing down quite yet, so we don't have much time to write this... We both feel that there is more to this story to be created. American freedoms are being taken (or given) away in the name of "security"... Neither of us had any intention, desire... even idea of how big this could become, but the issues were in our minds long before Mooninitis gripped Boston. We want to take the attention we've been given and use it to effect positive change to benefit everyone's happiness. To open eyes, open communication and open hearts. Please join us in the coming weeks as we start to open to the press and the internet. Our first stop will be the Today show this Friday morning (assuming we don't get bumped for more interesting news ;). We hope to help people who didn't "get" us understand who we are, and to talk a bit about our experiences. Then next week we hope to talk more to internet media, and generally get more of our side of the story out there. So, Again...Thank you and we'll talk to you all soon. I apologize for the delay.
Believe it or not, the negotiations are not dead.Sean and Peter are actually expecting to strike a deal with the prosecutors before the next court date. If they don't, they are going into trial. There's really not much more to add at this point.
If you have any creative ways of trying to help us with this case
Both Peter and Sean are deeply grateful for the amount of support they received from the greater Boston and the world community. We are sure they will be at a greater liberty to discuss the case and thank all of their supporters once the case gets resolved. |

Peter & Sean are still working on a resolution. We still very much need phone calls of support as another court date has been set. Please continue to check back in the next few days for updates. Peter & Sean will be appearing at the Charlestown Courthouse this Friday, March 30th at 9:00AM. It is unknown whether this date will allow more time for negotiations or bring this case to the next level. We urge you to pay close attention in the following week, as we are beginning to notice indications that we may need to update our current strategy. We hope to have the next update posted as early as Friday afternoon or evening depending on the length of their court appearance. If any news come to us sooner, we will post. Peter and Sean are scheduled to appear at Charlestown District Court this Wednesday at 9AM.A peaceful show of support at this point would be appreciated. These two artists are still being punished for decorating the city with l.e.d. sculptures. The charges against them have not been dropped yet. Please help us show the people of Boston that these individuals are peaceful artists. We still hope to have Boston be a great place for artists to live and do their work. This case could provide an example in how this city chooses to treat its large creative community.

 Peter and Sean are still on probation.
While their case hangs in the balance, they are not allowed to leave the state and are being treated like criminals for a Cartoon Network promotion!
Keep the telephone campaign going - ask for the charges against Peter Berdovsky and Sean Stevens to be dropped.
They love the city of Boston and would never want to harm it in any way. They are solid, contributing members of the community, and the city is at a loss without their full freedom.
We hope the situation will be resolved before the next court date in early March. But in order for that to happen as gracefullly as possible, we need your support and phone calls to tell the city of Boston that these two artists did nothing wrong!

Negotiations are still taking place. We do not want to do anything to
disrupt this process. We believe that the best way forward is still
the same: being organized and contacting the officials in a
responsible and kind way.

There has been a fervor of speculations in the media lately about Peter & Sean. Please don't believe everything the media says.
Many of these reports are the workings of writers looking to spin a sensationalized story, and have very little to do with the truth. Negotiations are continuing to take place. They are happening today (Wednesday)- Please continue to show your support by contacting our city officials. We need a constant barrage of phone calls to these people. Also, i added the mayor of Somerville's contact info. We should be calling him too, since he was involved in the case. |

Peter and Sean are still facing repercussions for the legal job they were hired to do.
